CPO Letter to Eurofiber Suppliers

Sustainability is a collective effort with benefits and responsibilities for all parties

Norian Wasch Eurofiber CPO Letter

Dear valued Eurofiber supplier,

As one of our key supply chain partners, you are playing a vital role in realizing the sustainability goals we set within the Eurofiber Group.

Eurofiber has been a provider of industry-leading open digital infrastructure since 2000. Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) policies are a fundamental part of our European growth strategy, and, therefore, of our daily activities.

Our services are vital to the economies and societies of the countries in which we operate. In the Netherlands, the Ministry of Economic Affairs formally assigned Eurofiber the status of ‘vital infrastructure’. In our view, this comes with a huge responsibility, not just for assuring the quality of our services, but also for carefully considering the way they are established and the well-being of the people that contribute.

Being one of the five strategic pillars of the company,  ESG is invested at the Board level. Concern for people and climate is anchored within our organization, processes and company culture. We put ESG into practice by setting tangible targets and conducting clearly defined initiatives to achieve them.

Our sustainable business model and supplier page provide additional information about our commitments and supplier expectations in these areas.

Together with all our stakeholders, including our suppliers, we want to make a positive contribution to the planet and society. We have a strong commitment to sustainability and therefore we aim to develop insights in our suppliers’ approaches to ESG and sustainability performance. To achieve this we use the EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating platform to conduct individual sustainability performance assessments of our key supply chain partners and to monitor and improve environmental and social performance in our supply chain.

The EcoVadis Assessment evaluates companies’ performance on the critical issues of Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The resulting Scorecard helps Eurofiber understand our suppliers’ capabilities, compliance, and performance. You can share your own Scorecard with other customers and use it to guide your sustainability and social responsibility strategy. By participating in the assessment survey you will receive a sustainability scorecard from EcoVadis including with detailed insights into your strengths and areas for improvement. The outcomes of the assessment will be integrated in our supplier performance review cycle, where we will (if required) in collaboration with you set corrective action plan to help improve sustainability capabilities.

We believe this will help us further develop a successful and sustainable, long term business relationship together. On behalf of Eurofiber, I thank you in advance for your valuable support as a key supplier and for joining us on this strategic initiative for a more sustainable future for us all.

Best Regards,

Norian Wasch
