Maarssen, The Netherlands – Eric Kuisch (formerly of KPN and Vodafone) will become chief operating officer and member of the Board of Eurofiber Group from 1 January 2020. This follows Bart Oskam’s decision to leave Eurofiber in the course of 2020 in pursuit of other activities.
Bart Oskam (1966) has been on the Board of Eurofiber Group since 2007. During his time with the company, Eurofiber developed into a leading provider of high-quality digital connectivity with a fiberoptic network that is part of the vital infrastructure in the Netherlands. In Belgium, the company took on the role of strong challenger. Eurofiber also became a prominent cloud infrastructure player with five datacenters of its own and the successful DCspine service, offering flexible connectivity between datacenters. ‘After a very exciting and intensive period of 12 years at Eurofiber, the time has come to create more room for myself, my family, and my ‘after 50’ aspirations,’ Oskam says. After he steps down in the course of 2020, he will be focusing on consultancy and on guidance and coaching for start-ups, among other activities. He will continue to be affiliated with Eurofiber in a consulting capacity. CEO Alex Goldblum has been working closely with Oskam over the past 12 years: ‘Bart has been a driving force behind Eurofiber’s development and successes, as a strategist, cultural ambassador and innovation champion. We will be sad to see him go, but fully respect his choice and wish him all the best in the next stage of his career and life.’
Eric Kuisch
Eric Kuisch (1965) has been working in the telecom sector for over 28 years. At KPN, he held various senior management and executive roles, then moved on to become CTO of Vodafone Germany. Alex Goldblum: ‘Eric is an outstanding successor for Bart and addition to our team. He has a superb track record in the telecom sector and his vision and leadership will give us a fresh boost in achieving our ambitions. ’
The Eurofiber Board of Directors as of January 1, 2020 will consist of Alex Goldblum (CEO), Eric Kuisch (COO), Edze Tollenaar (CFO) and Jeanine van der Vlist (CCO).
