Eurofiber to provide digital network connections between airports for Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL)

Between these airports, Eurofiber will be building and managing a dual redundant fiberoptic network for LVNL, including an intelligent Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Ethernet network. This will give LVNL access to a network with maximum availability and the ability to flexibly accommodate current and future data flows. On this large-scale project, Eurofiber is partnering with IT infrastructure specialist Telindus for service support from that company’s SMC support portfolio. The contract is for six years, with potential renewal options of three times 2 years. Initial completion of the Schiphol and Lelystad sites is scheduled for June 2023.

This nationwide network gives LVNL the ability to expand services to and from the region and guarantee ongoing continuity. A good example is the Voice Communication System (VCS), which is being built centrally at Schiphol and rolled out for airports in the region through the network structure. As a result, a standalone local system will no longer be required, which saves costs. “I am pleased that we are partnering with Eurofiber for this network infrastructure.
