CFO Eurofiber Group Jaap Truijens stepping back

Edze Tollenaar assumes duties temporarily

Maarssen, 29 June 2016 – Jaap Truijens steps back from his position as CFO of the Eurofiber Group from 1 July as a result of persistent back problems. Truijens underwent major back surgery last year and despite all efforts, recovery is taking more time than expected. This has made it necessary for him to concentrate fully on his health. Eurofiber has started a search for a new CFO, in the meantime Edze Tollenaar will assume his responsibilities as interim CFO.

Truijens has served with the Eurofiber Group since 2008. As part of the management board he has made a significant contribution to the company’s growth. Among other things, he was involved actively in add-on acquisitions, several senior debt refinancing processes, as well as the acquisition of Eurofiber by Doughty Hanson in 2012 and Antin Infrastucture Partners in 2015.

Tollenaar will assume Truijens’ responsibilities with immediate effect until a new CFO has been appointed. He has acquired considerable experience in the ICT sector, among others with UPC and Liberty Global.

“I would like to thank Jaap for his tremendous efforts for Eurofiber over the years,” says Alex Goldblum, CEO of the Eurofiber Group. “We will miss his expertise and enthusiasm. I have full respect for his difficult choice, and naturally I wish him every prospect of a full recovery.”
