Located in the green heart of the Belgian Ardennes is the family owned Hotel Le Val de Poix, set close to the E411 that connects Brussels to Luxembourg. The three star plus hotel with 42 fully equipped rooms is more than just a place to stay and sleep. It features a gourmet restaurant that only works with organically grown local produce. And recently co-working facilities have been added, aimed at professionals and artists. For both the hotel and the co-working spaces fast and reliable internet access through Eurofiber’s fiber-optic network is an absolute must.
Who is Dynniq anyway?
Dynniq actually consists of three companies: Dynniq Mobility, where we develop and implement innovative solutions in the field of mobility. Dynniq Energy, where we offer expertise in the design, supply, and maintenance of electrical and gas infrastructure and WPS, a specialist in developing innovative cloud-based parking management solutions.
I can’t really see the link with Eurofiber.
That’s true. The story goes back to the time when Syntigo had not yet been acquired by Eurofiber and we were working with Syntigo under the name Imtech Telecom. Imtech Telecom was engaged in data communications for what we call mission critical networks, lighting fiber optics for critical applications, actually. Imtech Telecom was then taken over by Dynniq, and with the acquisition of Syntigo by Eurofiber, our partnership has remained the same underneath it all.
What exactly does Dynniq do for Eurofiber then?
We continue to do what we did before, which is to manage and monitor critical data communication networks. Specifically, that comes down to managing the SDH network. Configuring connections, maintaining and repairing the network, and designing new connections. As well as maintaining and repairing your customers’ MPLS networks, managing their ADVA DWDM platforms, and their internet connections. A lot, in other words.
Who are you in contact with at Eurofiber?
With just about all the operational teams: Network & Services, Service Operations, Network Infrastructure, and Service Delivery. Furthermore, we also sometimes advise your commercial teams when it comes to delivering additional services that are not part of your product portfolio. And, of course, we are also in contact with the NMC and Network Engineering & architecture in the Netherlands. We know just about everyone within Eurofiber.
What do you appreciate about the collaboration with Eurofiber?
The dynamism that emanates from Eurofiber. You always look for solutions that meet the customer’s needs. There’s no ‘this is our product, take it or leave it’ attitude with you. Being able to contribute to this and help brainstorm is very satisfying. So is the personal contact, which creates a team feeling. It’s simply pleasant working with Eurofiber thanks to the short processes and lines of communication.
What do your future plans with Eurofiber look like?
We’ll continue to renew the SDH network and refine it even further, especially by placing more active components on the network and thus being able to connect more customers without actually expanding the network. And, of course, we want to reinforce our partner role with Eurofiber every day.
What is the most challenging thing about working with Eurofiber?
Eurofiber’s inherent flexibility creates its challenges, especially when it comes to timing and scheduling. That means it’s not always obvious but challenging, which just makes it very enjoyable too.
